Each family is responsible for working their shifts, hiring a sub, or buying out their snack stand duty. Any adult (over 18) from their family can work their shift. Snack Stand shifts will be 2.5-3hrs long. We highly encourage our families to work their shift, and participate in their child’’s baseball season. It’s a great way to build our WLL community and meet other parents. Some would even say its fun!
Each family is asked to work 2 shifts, per player.
Buyouts are $150 per player. Families can pay cash to their team's snack stand coordinator; or Venmo (@Tanya-Gottesburen); and must be received by 2/25, 8pm. Checks will not be accepted.
Snack Stand Duty is not assigned by team anymore.
Signing Up for Snack Stand
A SignUp Genius will go out to all league families at the same time. As soon as the game schedule is released, please advise your families to plan accordingly. The SignUp Genius will cover the entire season, including Playoffs, TOC, and All Stars. There will be many opportunities and shifts to choose from. Parents can choose to work together, if the slot is available on the SignUp Genius. Parents can also switch with each other as well. They don’t need to be on the same team, or even in the same division.
If the field is closed due to weather, your shift does not count. Please sign up for a different time, when the snack stand will be open. You receive credit for physically “working” a shift, not just signing up for the shift itself.
Sub Policy
An Approved Sub List will be made available to those who are unable to work their scheduled shift. It is highly recommended that if someone needs a sub, they find one as soon as they know they will need one.
- Parents must let their team SS coordinator know whom their sub will be.
- We ask that teens (under 18) not work together. If you’re hiring a sub, you must ensure there are 2 other adults on that shift.
- SUBS UNDER 18 CANNOT WORK THE GRILL!
- When someone shows up for their shift, they MUST sign in to receive credit for their shift. A sub must know the name of the person they are subbing for.
- Sign in using the yellow binder will in the Snack Stand; the sign in sheet is under tab #10.
- WLL knows our families have different obligations, responsibilities, and personal family events that may hinder their ability to participate fully in snack stand duty. Please reach out to Brian Gordon or Tanya Gottesburen to discuss alternatives. This will be confidentially addressed on a case-by-case basis.
