Facility Updates

We are excited to share news about several facility updates to Nielsen Field for the 2018 Spring Season!  Here is the list of the major projects completed to Westchester’s LL home field:

Batting Cages & Bullpens - The most notable upgrade to Nielsen field will be modernized hitting cages and pitching bullpens. These purposely built areas will help develop your child’s throwing skills and plate discipline.

Fresh Grass - The Facilities team have been working tirelessly towards getting the fields in pristine condition prior to the season start. The fruit of their labor will transform Nielsen in to a beautifully manicured park that will elevate the baseball experience for everyone.

While field maintenance is going on we ask that everyone remain off the practice areas and Slugger field until March 17th. Unfortunately this will make practicing and the first week of games for Single A and Double A a bit challenging but worth the wait.  Thank you for bearing with us through the grounds keeping maintenance.

New Field Backstop - Playing in a safe baseball environment is key to evolving your child's skills through the early years of Single A and Double A. In effort to provide a more natural baseball experience, we upgraded the mid-field with a new backstop.
